Business Associates: These are individuals or organizations that perform certain functions or activities on behalf of, or provide certain services to, a covered entity that involve the use or disclosure of https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/protected%20health%20information (PHI). Examples include third-party administrators, claims processing services, data analysis companies, and subcontractors of business associates. They must comply with the HIPAA Security Rule as well.
